How to Delete Windows and Install Mac OS X
For years, it was impossible to take an operating system from a Mac or IBM compatible (PC) and install it on the other computer. This was due to the fact Mac's used PowerPC processors, while Windows based computers mostly used Intel processors. However, several years ago Mac decided to convert and use the more power Intel processors. This switch made it possible to import operating systems from Mac computers to Windows based computers.
