How to Get Bigger Fonts

Bigger fonts make groupings of words less bland by adding a notable size variation, and this can keep a reader interested.       Place the cursor at the first word you wish to make larger. Left-click the mouse and select all chosen words to be highlighted, and then let go of the mouse.

      Press the "Font Size" toolbar icon to show the drop-down menu ,and select a bigger font.

      Make all of the words in the document have bigger fonts by choosing "Edit" from the toolbar menu. Next, choose "Select All," "Format" then "Font." Click on a bigger font size from the drop-down list. Press "OK" and exit to set the new changes.

      To input a font size that is not on the list, enter the desired size in the "Font" dialog box and then press "OK."

Tips & Warnings

  • If the size is not suitable, repeat steps 1 and 2 until your desired font size is reached.

  • As noted in Step 4, sometimes you can "override" the largest font size listed in the drop-down box beside a typeface. There are some limitations, however, so if you regularly need to apply huge font sizes to text, keep a list of your most frequently huge fonts of choice, along with their true maximum size limits.
