Free translations are a great alternative to spending money for a translator, or even buying an English translating dictionary. There are several great resources online for free translations.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • PC with internet connection
  • The full, written out text that you want to translate
  1. Step 1

First, type all of the text that you want to translate into a Notepad (.txt) or Word Document (.doc). Save it anywhere on your computer (My Documents) so you can refer to it later.

Next, go online and check out www.freetranslation.com. They have a great selection of translating languages to choose from, including Spanish, French, German, Italian, Chinese, and even Japanese. Paste the text and click "FREE Translation."

  3. Step 3

If you can't find the specific language translation you want online, or it comes out awkward or garbled, check out Babylon's FREE dictionary and translation software (see the Resources section for a link). Babylon's software offers translations to and from 75 different languages, with more features like web page translation and even document (.pdf and .doc) translation. Best of all, it's free.

Tips & Warnings
  • These are all automatic translating services; if you want a human translator (to really get the full complexities of language translation) you will have to pay money
