How to Check a Compaq Laptop's Warranty Information
Compaq laptops come with a manufacturer's warranty which typically lasts one to two years. You can purchase an extended warranty for added security once your warranty expires. You can quickly and easily check the status of your current Compaq laptop warranty and view what the warranty covers from Compaq's website. The website provides users with a simple tool that requires your serial number and model number to view warranty information. You can check the warranty information from any computer, as long as you have your Compaq's serial and product number information.

The number beside "p/n" is your product number. For the product number, you only need the numbers and letters that come before the # sign. Some numbers may not have a # sign.

Tips & Warnings
Keep all warranty information with the Compaq laptop manual. If you purchase an extended warranty, keep this paperwork with your manual as well.
Don't purchase an extended warranty if you don't think you need one. You can still purchase parts and upgrades to repair your laptop without a warranty. However, you will be charged for all parts and labor.
