Creating panoramic pictures is quite easy with or without a digital camera. In the case of digital cameras, most are equipped with a "stitching" function that will allow you to create the panorama directly on screen. Without stitching it is important to remember where your markers are on the particular scene and you will be able to create fantastic panoramic photos.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Camera Scenery Stitching Software (Your Choice)
  1. Step 1

Take pictures of the scene from which you would like to create a panorama. Make sure you take enough photographs that are focused and follow a 180- to 360-degree circle around you.

  2. Step 2

When taking the photographs try to stand in one place and hold the camera at a steady height. Also remember to find an anchor (like the sailboat) to use in your panorama. It is not necessary, but it will make putting your panorama together easier. Also, follow a line of sight in the photographs.

  3. Step 3

Click each photograph after you have positioned the camera steadily on the line of sight for the panorama. Take at least five photographs for your photo stitching.

  4. Step 4

Download all photographs from your digital camera to your computer. Make sure you have either stitching software or know how to use the stitching software that comes standard with your PC.

  5. Step 5

After downloading the photographs it is easy to use AutoStitch (great software) or the stitching software that is preloaded as part of your Windows Live Photo Gallery. All you need to do is use the drop-down box to create a panoramic photo and it will stitch the three to five photographs that you have chosen for your panoramic photo.

Tips & Warnings
  • Using the AutoStitch tool won't alter your photographs. You can reuse the photos in different panoramic combinations as long as your line of sight is fairly even.
  • Be careful to line up your photograph so the stitching will match fairly well.
