How to Delete Favorites History
Avid Web surfers like to bookmark websites or save them to their Favorites. While some people have their Favorites organized into folders and keep track of every link with great precision, the average user will add site after site into their Favorites. Over time, the number of Favorites can grow out of hand and become hard to manage and they might find they duplicate Favorites entries. Users can delete these Favorites as they organize their list.

Open Internet Explorer.

Click the "Favorites" star on the top right of the browser window and click the "Down Arrow" next to the word "Favorites." From the drop-down menu, select "Organize Favorites."

Select the folder or link you would like to delete. Click the “Delete” button. The “Delete File” window will open. Click the “Yes” button. Click the “Close” button to close the “Organize Favorites” window.

Open the Firefox Web browser.

Click the "Firefox" menu and choose “Bookmarks.” Click "Show All Bookmarks" from the slide-out menu.

Right-click the folder or link you would like to remove. Select the “Delete” option.

You can also delete Favorites in Internet Explorer by opening your Favorites menu, right-clicking on a Favorite and selecting "Delete."
