How to Download Yahoo! Messenger on a BlackBerry Phone

Add communication to your BlackBerry phone by installing Yahoo! Messenger. You can keep in touch with contacts while you are on the move, using your existing username and password. With no additional setup required, your buddy list will appear just as it does on your computer.

Instructions

1. Contact your carrier to arrange subscription to Internet data use for your BlackBerry. Keep in mind that not all data packages are unlimited and Yahoo! Messenger may have a per-message charge. Ask questions about cost before you begin messaging.

2. Check that Yahoo! Messenger is not previously installed on your BlackBerry, as many devices come with the program already installed. On the menu screen, enter the sub menu and select "Show All" icons to allow hidden programs or icons to appear. If Yahoo! appears on your menu screen, you do not need to download it.

3. Enter the menu of your BlackBerry and navigate to the browser option. Click the menu button and select "Go To" from Options. A text box will appear.

4. In the text box, enter the web address for BlackBerry Yahoo! messenger download. Press "Enter" or "Go" to load the page. Follow the instructions on the screen to download and install.
