How to Disable Avast Antivirus

Avast Free Antivirus is a free anti-virus program that protects your computer from malicious threats such as viruses, Trojans, spyware and adware. Avast combines real-time monitoring with threat removal and works in the background while you work on your computer or surf the Internet. If you need to disable Avast, which is sometimes necessary when installing some programs, the task can be performed in a matter of minutes.

Instructions

1. Right-click the "Avast" icon in the system tray on the taskbar.

2. Choose "Open Avast User Interface."

3. Choose the "Real-Time Shields" option.

4. Select each of the shields and click "Stop" for each one.

5. Click the "Firewall" option and turn it off.
