In fact, you may have alternate programs or Web-based programs you prefer. This is often the case with photo editing because there are so many other options. If you choose not to use Microsoft Photo Editor, you might as well delete it and save the space.

      Insert your Microsoft Office disc into the CD/DVD drive, then click the "Start" button.

      Click "Run" and a window will pop up. Type "D:\Setup.exe" in the box. (note: If the CD/DVD drive that you put your disk into is something other than D, type that drive letter instead.)

      Click "Add or Remove Features -- Change which features are installed or remove specific features" in the window. Click "Next."

      Expand "Office Tools" under "Features to Install." Then click "Microsoft Photo Editor."

      Select "Not Available" to remove Microsoft Photo Editor. Then click "Update" and "OK" to complete the deletion.
