How to Reset a Motorola Razr Cell Phone

The Motorola Razr is among the most popular cellular phones on the market thanks to the combination of sleek style and reliability. Because the phone is so prolific, however, many more people are in need of Razr repair than other cell phones. You can fix many problems without ever having to so much as call Motorola tech support by resetting your phone--if you can accept the idea of losing all your personal information, that is.

Instructions

1. Power on your Motorola Razr and allow it to boot up as normal.

2. Go to the settings menu. From there, select "Initial Setup" or any similarly worded option.

3. Select "Master Clear" or "Reset." Depending on what model of Razr phone you own, the exact wording may differ.

4. Enter "000000" when prompted for a security password.

5. Confirm that you want to reset all information on the phone to factory settings.

Tips & Warnings

• When you reset your Razr, you will lose all of your personal information including contacts, photos and programs.
