Are you looking to transfer music from the PC to your PSP? There are a few methods to get your music onto the PSP, but here are instructions that don't include any extra downloads or additional products.

The PSP can be a great way to listen to music anywhere, once you learn how to download music. Follow these instructions to find out how.

Things You'll Need:

  • PSP
  • USB cable
  • Music files
  1. Step 1

    Check to see if the music files are in correct format. MP3, MP4, WAVE and WMA are all acceptable formats. If the files are in a different format, they will need to be converted.

  2. Step 2

    Using the home button on the PSP, navigate to settings > USB connection

  3. Step 3

    Select USB connection and wait for the computer to display “New device has been connected.” Click on the removable disk drive letter that shows up.

  4. Step 4

    Make a new folder for the PSP on your computer.

  5. Step 5

    Create a folder in the PSP file and name it “music”

  6. Step 6

    Now copy the music files into the newest folder, and press “o” on your PSP to exit.

  7. Step 7

    Find “memory stick” in your music section on the PSP. You will find the songs that were downloaded there.

Tips & Warnings
  • To play WMA format, activate “enable WMA playback in system settings.
