Make a five-day cleaning schedule and stick to it. On days one and four, dust the entire house, using a swiffer duster and furniture wipes. Vacuum the furniture and drapes as well. On days two and five, throw away any leftovers in the refrigerator and wipe it out. Do a load of laundry or two to keep it from piling up. Enlist your spouse and children to help fold the laundry while you all watch a family program on TV. Teach the kids to put their clothes away in the proper drawers and to put their toys away before getting out new ones. On day three, clean all of the floors. Mop the hard floors and vacuum the carpets.

Store disinfectant wipes in the bathroom and in the kitchen cabinets under the sink. Quick daily clean ups will help to keep these areas tidy and kill germs. You can also keep window cleaning wipes in these areas to clean spots off the mirrors and sliding glass doors. Wipe the counters and mirrors down after each bathroom use to keep the areas clean and disinfected.

After the day's final bath or shower, spray the entire area with shower spray to keep soap scum from building up. Keep a bottle of the spray in each bathroom under the sink for easy access. Each night before bed, scrub the toilet bowls with a disposable brush to keep the toilet bowl clean and disinfected. If you do these things daily, your entire house will stay clean and disinfected.
