How to Mount a Garmin GPS

Instructions

    • 1

      Attach the back of the Garmin GPS unit to the ball swivel end of the suction cup mount.

      Place the suction cup mount against the windshield and press lightly.

      Press down the locking lever to seal the GPS unit to the windshield. If you don't want to mount it to the windshield, proceed to step 4.

      Remove adhesive backing from mounting plate and press the plate against your dashboard.

      Note: The adhesive on the plate is a permanent, heavy-duty adhesive that is difficult to remove once it is pressed into place

      Attach the suction cup mount to the plate and press the retention lever down to lock the mount in place.

Tips & Warnings

  • It's a good idea to keep a rag in your car to wipe off the suction cup rings from your windshield. These rings can tell thieves that your car has a GPS unit.
