- Litter box with low edges so small kittens can easily step in and out.

Step 1
Start as early as you can! The sooner you teach them the better. If there seems to be a spot they keep going to to go to the bathroom, put the litter box there.

If the kitten has left "droppings" there, pick them up with a tissue and place in the litter. Place the kitten in the litter and show him the "droppings". Do this several times a day. Only clean out your litter box every other day at first while they adjust because they will follow the sent.

Step 3
Any time the kitten goes to the bathroom any other than the box pick it up and put it and the kitten in the litter box as soon as you can. Shortly, you will see the kitten using the litter box! Once they get used to it, you can slowly move it away from that spot to a spot that better suits you! Good luck!
