How to Find Postal Codes for Sending Mail to Sweden
Until the 1950s and '60s, when post codes were introduced, postal workers needed to know information about districts and mail trains that served those districts to sort the mail accurately. Sending mail has gotten easier for postal workers, and the rest of us, since then.
A simple, five-digit combination of numbers make up post codes for the country of Sweden. Generally, the lower the first number of the code, the farther south in the country the location is. The number 1 is reserved for the capital, Stockholm. You can find a Swedish post code for any address in Sweden on the country's Posten website.

Tips & Warnings
Putting all the information on the envelope looks like this:
Sigrid Andersen
Roslagsgatan 10, iv
113 51 STOCKHOLM
SWEDEN
Note that the street name goes before the number, and any apartment or floor number follows the street number.
Leave a space between the third and fourth digits of the postal code, and put the region and country name in all capital letters.
