Step 1
Collect all the electronic products in your home you want to recycle. If you are feeling ambitious collect old electronics from your friends, family and neighbors too.
-
Step 2
Decide where you want to recycle your electronics. There are options available in many stores and online. For example Costco, Best Buy, Office Depot, Gazelle.com and BuyMyTronics.com are only a few of the many places that offer cash for electronics.
-
Step 3
Learn which organization will give you the most money for your electronics. Each one has different criteria regarding how many items they will accept, age, and condition of items. Take a moment and look at all your options.
-
Step 4
Review the reputation of the organization using the Better Business Bureau (BBB) before recycling your electronics.
-
Step 5
Donate your electronics to the selected organization. Make sure to get a receipt for your donation - both as proof of donation for payment and for a possible tax credit.
