Women tend to worry more about pimples on legs than men since they all want smooth sexy legs. Granted, men have more hair and this makes it harder to see imperfections on their skin, but they still have them.

The primary reason any of us have pimples is hormone fluctuation. This is why teenagers have so many problems with their skin. Additionally, heredity plays a role, so sometimes you have to accept it and do the best you can.

In fact, the primary reason for pimples on legs is heredity. However, this doesn't mean you have to lose hope and that nothing will help. Even though acne is hereditary you can still treat it and possibly clear it up.

Another reason for breakouts is sweat, especially for those who workout and allow sweat to dry over and over again, which collects bacteria on the skin. If this is the case the solution is to wash your legs asap and use a quality acne wash with benzoyl peroxide to kill bacteria and clear pores, however, do not scrub.

And yet another cause for pimples in general is stress, if you know what triggers stress in your life then steer clear of those people, places or things. Furthermore, do something that relaxes you such as a meditation, massage, music or whatever it is that brings you peace of mind and spirit.

As you may or may not know diet can mess with hormones and trigger pimples on legs and anywhere else on the body. Therefore, try to eat more natural foods and less processed ones. Drinking more water always helps as well as fresh fruits, vegetables, whole grains and lean meat and fish not fried.

It's also imperative that you have a good daily skin regimen. If you have tried several common acne products such as Stridex, Noxema and Clearasil to name a few, then try some new ones. Pronexin and Oxycerin are excellent products, although a little on the pricey side.

Treat your legs as well as your face, don't over wash or over kill, be gentle and keep in mind that if you do take special care it will make a difference.
