Find a Labor Lawyer

If there ever comes a time that you require a labor lawyer, you'll need good representation that is fast and effective. Labor lawyers can help you with many problems, such as disability benefits, wage claims and harassment lawsuits. Because of the sensitive nature of these allegations, you need to find a lawyer who is effective and experienced.

Instructions

    • 1

Search for lawyer using an online directory like FindLaw.com. You can browse lawyers by their specialty and location (see the link under "Resources").

    • 2

Contact your local Chamber of Commerce for a list of local labor lawyers. The Chamber of Commerce will have the names of lawyers registered with them, so it's a great way to get in touch with a credible and qualified lawyer. You can find your nearest Chamber of Commerce by searching your location in the Chamber of Commerce website (see "Resources").

    • 3

Consider contacting Legal Aid if you don't have the funds to pay for a labor lawyer. Legal Aid helps people who can't pay for legal services or who can only pay very little.

    • 4

Contact your state's Department of Labor. Explain your situation, and ask if they would recommend a lawyer that they've worked with in the past when going to court for labor disputes. You can find contact information for your local Department of Labor by going to the National Department of Labor website under "Resources."
