Favorites are websites whose addresses you save in a web browser such as Internet Explorer. After you add a website to your browser's list of favorites you can visit the site without needing to type in the entire website address. By default, Internet Explorer stores favorites in the order in which you added them, placing each new favorite at the bottom of the list. However, it is possible to alphabetize favorites in Internet Explorer if you are running Windows XP.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Open Internet Explorer and click the "Favorites" link in the menu bar. This will open a drop-down list of your current favorites.

  2. Step 2

Hover your mouse pointer over any of the favorites in the drop-down list. This will highlight the favorite.

  3. Step 3

Right-click the favorite you have highlighted. This will open a context menu.

  4. Step 4

Click the "Sort by Name" link in the context menu. This will alphabetize the favorites and complete the process.
