Slimy, Stretchy Goo is one of the most popular concoctions for kids today. This will provide hours of fun for our kids and a great idea for a birthday party favor.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 cup of water
  • 1 cup of white glue
  • 2 tbsp. liquid tempera paint or 7-10 drops of food coloring
  • 1 1/3 cups of warm water
  • 4 tsp. borax laundry booster
  1. Step 1

In a medium bowl, mix 1 cup of water, 1 cup of white glue and 2 tablespoons of liquid tempera paint (7 to 10 drops of food coloring can replace the paint).

  2. Step 2

In a separate medium sized bowl, mix 1 1/3 cups of warm water with 4 teaspoons of borax laundry booster. Mix until borax is completely dissolved.

  3. Step 3

Slowly pour the first mixture into the second mixture but do not mix them.

  4. Step 4

Roll the first mixture around the second mixture 4 to 5 times. Lift out the first mixture and knead for 2 to 3 minutes.

  5. Step 5

Store your homemade Stretchy Goo in an airtight container or a plastic Ziploc baggie.

  6. Step 6

    VARIATIONS:
    1. Use red liquid tempera paint (food coloring) for Lava Goo.
    2. Use green liquid tempera paint (food coloring) for Slimy Goo.
    3. Use black liquid tempera paint (food coloring) for Tar Goo.

Tips & Warnings
  • Make a double batch of Stretchy Goo to divide between a group of children at birthday parties, children activities, lawn parties, etc.
