How to Register a Website on Dogpile

Dogpile works differently than other search engines. Dogpile does not accept links to add to its directory. Instead, it returns the top search results from top search engines like Google, Ask.com, Yahoo and Live Search. If you want your website registered on Dogpile, then you must do so by registering with the other search engines. These search engines use different criteria for page rankings.

Instructions

    • 1

Register with Google. The easiest way to do this is to get other websites to link to your site. You could also leave your web address on forums, blog posts and other interactive web pages. The Googlebot will find your website.

    • 2

Add your site to Ask.com. The good news is that registering your site with Ask.com is similar to registering your site with Google. Place your link on other websites, such as forums and in blog comments, and the Ask webcrawler will find your website.

Suggest a site with Yahoo. This can be done by scrolling to the very bottom of the Yahoo homepage and clicking on the "Suggest a Site" link. Click on the "Suggest Your Site for Free" link, followed by the "Submit a Website or Webpage" link. This provides a box where you can type in your URL and click the "Submit" button.

Submit your URL to Live Search. Go to Live.com. Click on the "Webmasters" link in the bottom, right-hand corner. Under the "Drive more traffic" column, click on "Submit your site's URL." This will open a new window with a form that you fill out.
