Apply mascara from the root to the tip. Wiggle the mascara wand as you move the wand towards the end of your lashes. This will help keep your mascara from clumping.

Apply several coats of mascara for thicker eyelashes. Allow mascara to dry for a minute or two between coats.

Tips & Warnings

  • Choose a good lash thickening mascara. Some relatively cheap mascara brands do the job just as well as the expensive ones; find one that suits your eyelashes and your wallet. Look for mascara that contains synthetic fibers as multiple coats can actually build your eyelashes up until they are longer.

  • Use black mascara for a dramatic makeup effect. Use dark blue mascara for lighter colored eyes.

  • Look for mascara that has a wand with both short and long bristles. These will keep your mascara from clumping.
