Step 1
Arrange the view of your Outlook desktop. You can change it later if you want. Click on the "View" in the menu at the top of the screen, then click on "To-Do Bar." Check the following in the menu that opens: "Normal," "Date Navigator," "Appointments" and "Task List."

Add a task to your to-do list. Place your cursor on "Type a new task" located in the lower right-hand corner of the screen and type in the task.

Customize the task by clicking on the task. In the photograph, the cursor is placed over "Get oil changed," then clicked, which will open up a new menu.

Edit the task by changing the start and due dates, setting a priority and status for the task, and adding any notes. You can also delete the task by clicking on the "X" or delete command on the menu bar.

View all your tasks, even those that have been completed. Click on "Tasks" located in the menu along the left side of the screen.

Mark a task completed by clicking on the flag located to the right of the task on the right-hand side of the screen.

Step 7
Check the calendar for tasks due on specific dates. Click the date and the day calendar will open, listing any tasks for that date.
