Use a Digital Voice Recorder With Your Computer

A digital voice recorder is a small, portable electronic device designed to record audio information to be used at a later date. Should the need arise, you can transfer the files recorded to the digital voice recorder to your computer for archiving and use at a later date. As the files on a digital voice recorder are recorded to a small internal hard drive, it is as simple as copying files from one device to another.

Instructions

    • 1

Connect your digital voice recorder to your computer using the included USB link cable. Plug one end of the cable into your digital voice recorder and another into an open USB port on your computer.

    • 2

Turn on your digital voice recorder.

    • 3

Access your digital voice recorder in the "My Computer" section of your computer. As far as Windows is concerned, it will appear as an external hard drive. Double-click it's icon in "My Computer" to open it.

    • 4

Drag the files you want on your computer from the digital voice recorder folder in "My Computer" to your desktop; they will then be copied in their entirety to you computer, at which point you can use them for whatever you'd like.
