How to Use PayPal with a Credit Card
PayPal offers a secure way to make purchases online. By using PayPal you can buy from online merchants without ever revealing your credit card information to them. Once you have a PayPal account linking a Visa, Mastercard, Discover or American Express credit card linked to the account, it is easy.

Login to the PayPal website and go to the "My Account" page.

Click on "Edit profile," which is right next to your name and e-mail under the "Account Overview" header. This will take you to your profile summary, where you can change your contact and financial information as well as other preferences.

Click on "Credit/Debit Cards" in the middle column labeled "Financial Information." This will take you to a page that lists all the credit and debit cards currently linked to your account. You may have a total of eight cards linked to your account at one time.

Click the "Add a Card" button in the lower right of this page. This will take you to the form for adding a new credit card to your account.

Type your credit card information into the form. Select your billing address from the drop-down list or select "Enter a new billing address" and enter your billing address information. Click the "Add card" button when you are finished.

Select your credit card as the payment option when you use Paypal to make purchases online.

Tips & Warnings
You cannot use your credit card for purchases if you have sufficient funds in your Paypal account to cover a transaction.
