How to Make a Banana Face Mask for Acne
Acne can affect anyone. It brings with it not only physical discomfort but also emotional pain. Those suffereing from facial acne are often willing to try anything to get rid of it, and they often end up spending a lot of time and money searching for a cure. If you are an acne sufferer, before spending more money on doctors and medications, try making a banana face mask to help clear your acne and relieve its painful symptoms. Bananas are not only loaded with anti-oxidant vitamins that help the skin from the outside as well as the inside, they also contain anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties that help fight acne. Things You'll Need
- 1 ripe banana
- 1 fresh lemon
- 2 teaspoons of honey
- Blender
- Bowl
- Washcloth

Peel a very ripe banana, place in a blender and blend until creamy.

Squeeze a fresh lemon, and measure out 1 tablespoon of lemon juice. Add the lemon juice to the blended banana in the blender.

Add 2 teaspoons of honey to the lemon juice and banana. Blend for 30 seconds.

Remove mixture from blender and transfer to a bowl.

Rinse your face and neck with hot water, then apply mask mixture evenly to face and neck. Leave on for 20 minutes or until completely dry.

Rinse with warm water, then wipe your face with a warm washcloth.

Do a final rinse by splashing cool water on your face, and then patting your skin dry. Repeat the banana mask for acne two to three times per week.

Discard any unused portion of the mask mixture. Make a fresh batch for each mask.

Tips & Warnings
If you have long hair, pull it back and keep it out of your face while applying the mixture to your face and neck.
If you are allergic to any ingredients in the mask, do not use. If you experience a rash or skin irritation as a result of the mask, rinse it off immediately and discontinue use.
