Block Your Number

Want to block your phone number from showing up on caller ID when you call someone? Learn how!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Ever wanted to call someone without them knowing that it's you? Well you can block your number from showing up on their caller ID. This is a great way to hide your number.

  2. Step 2

You can do this either on your cell phone or your landline phone. Simply dial *67 before the phone number. For example, *675551234 and press send on your cell phone number.

  3. Step 3

Whenever you do this, "Private Number" will show up on the caller ID. Please note that you need to dial *67 before every call that you make.

  4. Step 4

The person you are calling will have no idea who is calling them. I use this to see if someone has their cell phone on or if a number just called me and I want to hear their voicemail to figure out who it is. Most people do not answer calls that are from a "Private Number".
