Photoshop CS3 has many options to make image editing easier. If you repeat the same actions every time you use Photoshop, you can download or create scripts that perform those actions for you automatically. Follow these tips to increase your productivity using scripts in Photoshop CS3.

    How to Use Scripts in Photoshop CS3

  1. Step 1

    Review the different Photoshop scripts available from Trevor Morris or Jeff Tranberry (see Resources below). Download the scripts by right clicking on the links and selecting "Save As."

  2. Step 2

    Locate the Photoshop scripts folder. On your computer, it will be in the directory labeled Adobe Photoshop CS3>Scripting Guide>Sample Script>Javascript. Copy the script into this folder.

  3. Step 3

    Open Photoshop and choose File>Scripts. This will list the scripts available. Run the script by selecting its name.

  4. Step 4

    Run a script automatically by choosing File>Scripts>Script Events Manager. Put a check mark in "Enable Events" to Run Scripts/Actions. Choose the script to run automatically and click Add.
