How to Activate a Nike Plus Watch
The Nike+ system is an easy way to monitor your running workouts. The system records your distance, pace, time, and calories burned. Activating your Nike+ Sportband (which also functions as a watch) is a simple process that requires you to download software using a computer with Internet access.
Things You'll Need
- Nike+ SportBand
- Nike+ SportBand link
- Nike+ sensor
- Nike+ Utility software
- Mac (OSX 10.4.8 or higher) or PC (Windows XP or higher) with USB port

1
Connect to the Internet, and go to the Nike+ website (see Resources). Once there, download the Nike+ Utility installation program.

Double-click on the installation program icon (which should appear on your computer's desktop) to install the software on your computer.
-
-
3
Remove the Nike+ Sportbank Link from the Sportband if necessary.
-
4
Connect your Nike+ Sportband Link to your computer via your computer's USB port after installing the program. Allow your Nike+ Sportband link to charge its battery for at least two hours.
-
5
Click on the "i" button onscreen to personalize your settings when the Nike+ Utility software automatically opens on your computer (this should happen after you plug your Link into your computer).
-
6
Remove your Link from the USB port after it is fully charged, and click it back into place in the Sportband.
-
7
Place your Nike+ sensor in your Nike+ shoe or attach it to your shoelaces. When you're ready to go for a jog, press and hold the record button on the Sportband for a period of three seconds as you start to walk. When the Sportband is activated, a shoe icon and blinking numbers will show up on the screen. When this happens, press the record button once, and the Sportband will begin to record data.
