How to know What NOT to Wear to a School Function
I just went to my first grades award ceremony. Although I enjoy the time spent with my child, the award ceremony was a complete disaster. One of the worst parts was how the other parents were dressed. I suppose that adults just don't think about what is appropriate for being back at the school. Here are some tips of What not to Wear.

When going to a school function adults should only wear what the kids are allowed to wear. Adults are being modeled in front of impressionable children. The children may want to dress like you. Children look up to adults as role models and need to be shown how to be appropriate in the clothing and behavior.

Do not wear clothes that show off your chest. Kids do not need to see your hairy chest or boobs in their face. Please cover your chest up.

3
Do not wear clothes without sleeves. Kids are not allowed to wear tank top or sleeveless shirts. Sleeveless shirt can become very inappropriate at the right angles.
-
4
Do not wear skirts or shorts that are shorter than three inches above the knee. In school the short or skirts are normally required to go to the top of the knee.
-
5
Do not wear anything with offensive picture or words. Take a look at what clothes you plan to wear and make sure they are at a "G" rating. Although you may allow your kids more freedom to see higher ratings; many parents will not feel the same way.

Tips & Warnings
Please ask the school's office or teacher to provide you with Code of Conduct which should include what the kids are allowed to wear.
Someone you offend now could be your child's future in-laws.
