How to Convert to MPEG 4
MPEG-4 is a type of video compression that is growing in popularity in part because of its efficiency in video and audio coding as well as its quality. Conversion to this video format can be useful, due to its compatibility to various players like iPods and PSPs.

Download and install an MPEG-4 converter. Opell Video Converter is a good free program that is easy to use. A link can be found below in the Resources section.

Open the MPEG-4 converter. Then, click the "Add" or "Add Files" option. Here, find the video you want to convert in the directory. Once it's found, highlight it and click "Open" or "OK."

In the "Profile" option, select the video format that you want to convert your video to. When selecting a format, it will say in parentheses what compression is used for that particular format. Find a format that has MPEG-4 in parentheses.

Select the location you want the converted file to be saved to in the video output option.

Double check all the information. If everything is correct, select "Encode" or "Convert," whichever option is available.
