How to Use Kindle on an iPhone

The new Kindle Electronic Book Reader is a really cool invention for anyone who likes to read. But the price tag is a little steep and may put some people off. If you've got an iPhone, you can keep your money in your pocket and still enjoy everything that Kindle has to offer - right on your phone. It works great, even with the iPhone's small screen. Read on to learn how to use Kindle on your iPhone.

Things You'll Need:

• Amazon Account

   ~ Open the Application Feature on your iPhone and Search for Kindle App ~
   
   This step is pretty self explanatory. Simply touch the app icon and then type "Kindle" into the search box.

2. ~ Choose the Kindle App by Amazon & Download ~
   
   Once you've found the correct application, it should be the first result you get, choose download. You may need to sign into your mac account to download, but the Kindle electronic reader application is free. It will download automatically.

3. ~ Set Up the iPhone Application to work with your Amazon Account ~
   
   You'll now need to enter your Amazon user name (usually your email address) and password so that your iPhone can sync with the Kindle store on Amazon. If you don't have an Amazon account you can sign up for one free of charge at Amazon's website.

   Get Books on Amazon

   ~ Head to Amazon and Purchase Books ~
   
   It's easiest to visit Amazon from your home computer, but you can use Safari on your iPhone to access Amazon as well. Visit the Kindle store and choose the books that you'd like to buy. If you don't have one-click ordering set up, you may want to set it up by adding a credit card and billing information. You only need to do this one time. When you choose a book, make sure you choose to sync it with your iPhone - if you have more than one iPhone or Kindle attached to your account, there will be a drop down menu that will allow you to choose which device you'll send the book to.

   Open & Update Your Kindle App

   The last thing that you'll need to do is to update the Kindle App on your phone. Just touch the Kindle icon and then touch the refresh button on the bottom left corner. Your phone will find the electronic book that you just purchased and will download it to your phone. You are ready to read!

Tips & Warnings

• You will need to have wireless access through your home network, 3G, or Edge to download the books to your phone. Make sure that you download new books before you get on a plane or head away from a location where you have wireless service.
