You can view the contents of the Clipboard on a Mac.

Every time you use the "Copy" command on your Mac computer, the operating system saves the highlighted data to a part of the hard drive called the Clipboard. Text and images can be saved to the Clipboard and later placed elsewhere using the "Paste" command. While in the Finder application, Mac users can view the contents of the Clipboard.

Instructions

      Click anywhere on the desktop of your Mac computer to switch to the Finder.

      Open the "Edit" menu at the top of the screen and select "Show Clipboard." A window will open and display the current contents of your computer's Clipboard.

      Close the Clipboard window by clicking on the red icon in the upper-right corner of the window.

    • 4

      Use the "Paste" command in the "Edit" menu to place the contents of your Clipboard in another document.
