Step 1
E-mail the link below from the EPA web site to all of the friends you have e-mail addresses for. Let them know in the message that the link will give them specific locations where they can turn in their old cell phones as well as mailing addresses if they prefer to mail their old cell phones.
-
Step 2
Encourage your friends to forward your e-mail to their friend lists to get the word out. This is the fastest way to reach the largest number of people.
-
Step 3
Place the link below on your Facebook page. Your friends will all see your update and will be reminded that they can recycle their old cell phones.
-
Step 4
Make a flyer and get permission to post it on your grocery stores' bulletin boards. Everyone needs groceries so you are bound to get some individuals to recycle their cell phones when they see your flyer. Make sure you list which stores accept the old cell phones.
-
Step 5
Offer to take your friends to the facilities that accept used cell phones. Some might not have a car to get there and they might need a ride or the encouragement to do it.
-
Step 6
Collect the old cell phones yourself and then drop them off at one of the acceptance facilities. Your friends will surely be comfortable dropping their old phones off with you at their convenience.
