Things You'll Need:
- none
- or a nail or small screwdriver depending on the design of your wiper blade.
-
Step 1
Set the new blades next to the old ones and determine the mounting method and orientation before removing the old blades.
-
Step 2
The common style blade uses a U-shaped clip that you compress to remove the blade. Find the little button inside the U and push it toward the other end of the clip.
-
Step 3
Another style attaches a small, grooved shaft gripped by a spring clip. This style has a hole marked "push." You insert a thin object, like a nail, into the hole to release the clip and slide off the blade. The new blade clicks over the shaft.
-
Step 4
With the U-clip compressed, slide the wiper blade toward the base of the arm, which will cause the arm's U-shaped end to pull free of the clip. (Doing this will likely push the rubber blade out a bit.)
-
Step 5
Shift the arm end so that it clears the clip an passes out a hole above it, freeing the blade.
-
Step 6
To put the new one on, reverse the directions just given.
