Cleaning Your Platinum Ring

1. Soak your ring in jewelry cleaner for about 20 minutes. (If pearls are part of the ring's design, use a cleaner that is pearl-safe.)

2. Rinse your ring under hot water.

3. Polish your ring with a soft cloth.

4. Store your ring in a silk, satin or velvet bag. If you have a jewelry box with separate sections for rings, you can store it there as well. Just make sure other rings cannot come into contact with your platinum ring, as they may scratch the metal.

Preventing and Removing Scratches

1. Remove your ring prior to performing any strenuous or messy activity.

2. Have your ring polished once per year by a professional jeweler. Make sure your jeweler can polish platinum, as many of them are not properly equipped to work with it.
