As the economy gets worse, video games and their consoles get more expensive. This has led to more video gamers turning back the clock and playing some old school video games on their computer with emulators that play old Nintendo 64 games. But playing Nintendo 64 games isn't the same without a Nintendo 64 controller. This is how you can connect an N64 controller to your PC.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Computer with a USB port
  • N64 controller
  • Nintendo 64 N64 / PS2 2in1 USB Controller Adapter to PC
  1. Step 1

Buy a converter to hook up your N64 to the PC. I recommend the Nintendo 64 N64 / PS2 2in1 USB Controller Adapter to PC. Not only can you use it for N64 controllers, but it will also connect Playstation 2 controllers. You can also use your N64 or PS2 controllers on PC video games, not just emulators.

  2. Step 2

Plug one side of the the Nintendo 64 N64 / PS2 2in1 USB Controller Adapter into the PC in one of the USB slots.

  3. Step 3

Plug your Nintendo 64 controller into the other end of the Nintendo 64 N64 / PS2 2in1 USB Controller Adapter.

  4. Step 4

If the N64 controller does not work immediately after you have plugged it into the adapter, install the drivers that come on the disk with the adapter. Some versions of Windows will already have these drivers though, so the N64 controller may work without even using the disk.

  5. Step 5

Finally search the options of your emulator or PC game to find out where you can choose how you want to control the game and switch to your N64 controller. The placement of this option will vary depending on your emulator or PC game.
