How to Build a Predator Costume

Predator costumes are always in high demand for Halloween and costume parties. Many comic enthusiasts and movie lovers clamor to purchase Predator costumes. The problem is that many Predator costumes are expensive, sometimes costing hundreds of dollars. The good news is that with a little work, you can create your own Predator costume for much less than that. Print off a picture of Predator for references, and then get started on building a Predator costume.

Things You'll Need

• Picture of Predator
• Black Spandex pants
• Black Spandex top
• Plastic armor
• Plain face mask
• Silver permanent marker
• Black permanent marker
• Clay
• Fake fingernails
• Legwarmers
• Black hiking boots

1. 

   Draw scales with a permanent silver marker completely covering each Spandex piece. Begin at the top and work your way down, drawing scales by drawing 'U' shapes layered over each other.

2. Mold clay over the plastic armor to replicate Predator's body armor. There should be a piece that covers the chest and shoulders. You may be able to use football shoulder pads for the same effect.

3. Cut the legwarmers so that they are 5 inches long. These will cover your knees, over the top of the spandex portion of the outfit.

4. Mold clay over the plain face mask to replicate Predator's mask. Check your Predator mask often. Work slowly and use a black permanent marker to add detail.

5. Put the spandex top and pants on. Then pull the shoulder armor carefully onto your shoulders. Pull the legwarmers up over your knees. Then, lace up your black combat boots and put them on. Secure your fake fingernails. Finally, add your Predator face mask.
