How to Use Givenchy Phenomen'Eyes Mascara

The Givenchy Phenomen'Eyes Mascara looks very unconventional. Instead of a regular mascara wand, it has a round, spiky applicator that resembles a Medieval morning star. This new patented technology perfectly separates and curls lashes for a truly dramatic look. Despite its silly appearance, the Givenchy mascara really works wonders on short lashes.

Instructions

1. Wash off any lingering mascara residue from your eyelashes. Remove any false eyelashes you may have on. It's best to work with a clean palette to really see the difference when using the Givenchy mascara.

2. Remove the wand from the tube. Carefully wipe off excess mascara with a paper towel.

3. Hold the wand vertically. Open your eyes wide and wedge the mascara wand between your top lashes. Gently push the wand upward against your eyelashes at the roots. Because the Phenomen'Eyes has an unusual round shape, you can't use it like a regular mascara wand. Instead of holding it horizontally and sweeping it from side to side, you have to dab at your eyelashes in gentle, upward strokes for the best results.

4. To curl the outer top lashes, hold the wand horizontally and above them. Push down gently and roll the applicator, catching the few outer lashes and curling them up slightly. Envision the motion you use to curl the ends of your hair with a round brush.

5. Hold the brush vertically or horizontally and push it downward to coat your bottom lashes.

Tips & Warnings

• Although the above technique yields the best results, technically, you can hold the brush in any position that's comfortable — vertical, horizontal or diagonal.

• Use a regular-shaped, clean mascara wand to separate your lashes further.

• If you want even longer lashes, use a mascara primer — those white mascaras that make your lashes longer and make the black mascara look darker.

• Be careful not to poke your eye when using Givenchy Phenomen'Eyes. Move the wand gently and slowly against your lashes.
