How to Invest in Frontier Communications and/or Verizon
Frontier Communications and Verizon just announced a merger of sorts where Frontier Communications is acquiring Verizon's access lines. So, what this means to you is that you can purchase stocks in both of these companies now with the hopes that your investment will grow as Frontier and Verizon bring their strengths to the new merger.

You can easily purchase Frontier Communication and/or Verizon stock online with an online brokerage account. Etrade offers 100 free trades when you open a new account. See the first link in the resource section below for this special offer.

Once you open your etrade account, you'll have to wait about 7 days or so until you can trade so hope the Frontier or Verizon stock doesn't go anywhere right now. But, once your account is verified and funded, trade away. Log onto your account, click on the 'Trading & Portolio' tab and then 'Trade'.

To purchase, for example, 10 shares of Frontier Communications, fill in the information as shown to the left. Note: this trade is good for market value whenever I tell etrade to purchase - you have other choices such as 'end of day' which means that you'll buy the stock at the last price for the day. Once you've completed the information, check the 'preview order' button.

Once you preview the order, you'll need to click the 'place order' button on the bottom of the next page to finalize your order. Congratulations! You're now a stockholder in Frontier Communications. Now, go do it for any other company you want!
