Ninjas are warriors that originated in feudal Japan. Through the use of their strength, agility and ability to go unnoticed while carrying out spy missions and eliminating enemies, they inspire awe. A traditional Ninja uniform consists of a black robe and a mask that reveals only the eyes.

Instructions

    • 1

Ask a friend to trace the outline of your head on a sheet of black construction paper as you hold it over your face. Cut out the outline from the sheet of paper.

    • 2

Draw a long rectangle horizontally on the cutout of your face. The rectangle should cover the area where your eyes are. Use scissors to cut out the rectangle.

    • 3

Use the hole puncher to make a hole next to the right and left sides of the rectangle.

    • 4

Hold the mask against your face. Position it comfortably so that your eyes are exposed through the rectangle slit and your breathing is not obstructed.

    • 5

String the yarn through both holes and tie the mask in place with double knots so it rests on your face in the way you positioned it in Step 4.

Tips & Warnings

  • Wear a black hooded sweater or shirt as part of your Ninja costume. Wear the hood under your mask to create the illusion of a mask that covers your entire head.
