How to Sell a Deeded Timeshare

So you own a timeshare. Now you want to get rid of it. Owning timeshares can be rewarding but many maybe nothing more than a way to charge you a lot more for vacations. Sometimes fees get so high you need to just get out. Depending on how fast you are willing to sell will determine your sales price.

Instructions

1. Evaluation
   You need to first evaluate you timeshare to sell it. Make sure you understand exactly what you are selling and what fees are involved when transferring ownership. This can be done by contacting the timeshare customer service center. While your talking to them ask them if they can sell it for you!

2. Pricing
   Now you know what your selling, time to put a price on it. Your time share is never going to be sold at or above the price you purchased it (unless you got a good deal).

   Find out how much the timeshare company is currently asking for something like yours.

   Go online to ebay and do a search to see if your timeshare comes up. If it does watch to see what it sells for. Normally you should watch a few auctions and take an average of the sell value.

3. Sell
   The easiest way to sell your timeshare is to put in online. Try ebay, craigs list or another service. Post your timeshare for sale, if you have done the research correctly, your timeshare will probably sell with in days.

Tips & Warnings

• The longer you can hold out on a seller the high the sell price. If you must get rid of it right away low ball the sell price and liquidation can be easy online.
