Things You'll Need:
- Common sense.
-
Step 1
Keep a wary eye out for trap messages. This viruses main method of attack right now is by sending messages like, "check out this hot new site mygener.im" to lure viewers to the site.
-
Step 2
Always check your URL's. Older versions of the mygener.im virus relied on standard phishing. This means it redirected you to a site that looked like Facebook, but was actually scamming your log on and password. Always type in the Facebook URL yourself or use a search engine. Do not use links.
-
Step 3
Do not use "Facebook error checkers". These are scam software pre-uploaded with the virus. If you are having problems with your account, simply contact Facebook. They can best help you with your problems.
-
Step 4
Advoid traffic-exchange.ru, while the nature of the relationship between these two sites is unknown, it is best to pass on any sites with known links to viruses.
