How to Use Skype for a Conference Call
Skype's major functions include chatting via text -- as you could with any instant messenger -- as well as making and receiving phone calls. When you make these calls to other Skype users, there is no charge. For calls to landlines and cellphones, however, you must subscribe to one of Skype's paid plans or add money to your Skype balance. This is true for individual calls as well as conference calls. If you wish to make video conference calls, you need to subscribe to Skype Premium.
