Electronics can be very expensive, especially computers, but here are some great ways to buy a cheap laptop.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Look at buying a great laptop computer but not the best. Most them time you can find exactly what you are looking for much cheaper depending on many things. One would be brand name. If you do not mind having a laptop that is not brand name, you can get it much cheaper. Also buying one that is not top of the line is another way. Prices on laptops and electronics typically go down over time. So buying one that is outdated just a little bit will save you quite a lot of money.

  2. Step 2

Wait till the laptop you want goes on sale. Many places, like Best Buy, put laptops on sale just about every week. So if there is a laptop you are interested in, or even if you are just looking for a good deal, this might be one of the best ways to acquire a new laptop. Personal laptops can be purchased at most electronic stores. So be sure to look online, or ask a sales representative, to see if they are currently having any laptop sales.

  3. Step 3

Build your own laptop. If you know how to build your own laptop, I would suggest doing this. Parts can be purchased for good prices from ebay and other online auction sites. This way you can also buy exactly what you want and put it in your computer. You will not be paying for extra features that you will not be using. Some laptop computers that are bought from a store come with more than what you actually need. Even though you will not be using these features, you will be paying for them. So it is a good idea to build exactly what you want. It will save you some money.
