How to Use Roxio Disc Cover RE
There are many different ways to make CD/DVD disc covers and labels, and no need to buy a special program since you can use a word processor to create your labels. However, Roxio makes it even easier by bundling Disc Cover RE with their latest versions of Toast. This is a program that is installed on your computer when you install Toast, and many people don't even realize they have it. It is far easier than using a word processor to make labels. Check your applications directory to see if you have it, and if you do, read on to find out how easy it is to use Disc Cover RE.

You can also open a blank template and design your cover from scratch if you prefer. Tools are supplied to add photos, backgrounds and text.

Click on the movies tab to add movies or images to your project. Select movies from iMovie and iDVD projects and the movie title will appear in a text box on your label. This is a lot easier then editing the text manually in a word processor. Edit the text and choose text attributes and colors as you did for your title.

Now it's time to print the labels. When you click print it will open up a special printing panel. Here you can drag and drop the elements that you want to print. Notice that you can specify a specific Avery label from the drop-down box. Choose the Avery Number from the list. Select the bleed area and resolution. Before you commit to expensive label stock, print a draft on regular paper and assure the labels and covers are the way you want them. Load the label stock and print the label only, then load other specialty stock like gloss or matte photo paper and print the covers. It's easy, fun and quick to print excellent custom labels with Disc Cover RE.
