How to Make a Small Skateboard Ramp
Skateboarding is a type of extreme sport where people ride their boards up different-sized skate ramps, performing tricks as the ramp propels them airborne. The launch ramp, or kicker ramp as it is more commonly referred, is the easiest skate ramp to perform tricks on, as well as the easiest ramp for people to build themselves. Anyone who can safely use a mitter saw and a hammer can quickly and skillfully construct their own skate ramp.

1
Cut three of the 2-by-10 inch boards so that they are all 2 feet long. Cut a 45-degree angle down their entire 2-foot length, beginning at the top-left corner and cutting down to the bottom-right corner.
-
2
Cut the final 2-by-10 inch board so that it has a length of 2 1/2 feet. Do not cut any angles into this board, as this will act as the ramps back support.

3
Nail each of the boards from Step 1 to the face of the board from Step 2. If you are looking at the board from Step 2 vertically, then the three boards from Step 1 will be running away from it horizontally. Space the three boards evenly before nailing them. Use three nails for each board positioning each one 3 inches apart.
-
4
Measure the distance between each of the 45-degree-angled boards. Cut support pieces from the excess wood that remained after making each of the 2-by-10 inch boards the proper length in Steps 1 and 2. Nail one support piece in the middle of the two openings between the boards.
-
5
Measure the top surface of the ramp, before the width and the length. Cut the sheet of plywood to these measurement. Nail the plywood to the top of the ramp's frame, and you will have a just created a kicker ramp.
