Things You'll Need:
- Different sized balloons
- Ribbon
- Tape (optional)

Step 1
First take into consider where the baby shower is going to be. Will it be in someone's home or at a restaurant? If it will be at someone's home, then consider the layout of the room or house to figure out where you can decorate with balloons at a baby shower. Can you tie the balloons to the chairs being used? How about letting some balloons float freely along the ceiling during the festivities? Could you make the ribbons of the balloons extra long and decorate them by tying little rattles and pacifiers at the ends? If it is at a restaurant, then you may consider keeping the balloons more tame.

Step 2
Now consider the colors with which you want to decorate with balloons at a baby shower. If you know the gender of the baby, then you can choose traditional baby blue for boys and soft pink for girls. If the parents do not want to know the gender of the baby, then consider other pastel colors, like yellow, green, or even purple. If you are having a baby shower with a more non-traditional crowd, then consider more vibrant and lively colors like electric blue or hot, hot pink balloons!

Step 3
If you are feeling super crafty, you may consider getting a lot of different sized balloons to create a "balloon animal" like a caterpillar, lamb, or even a little baby with a happy face. You don't need to be a professional clown in order to make balloons animals. Just imagine the animal or object you want to create and use clear heavy duty double sided tape to start piecing together the balloons to create the animals. Include thick ribbons, colored markers, and other crafty objects to make your creation come alive.

Step 4
If making balloon animals is not your cup of tea, then consider purchasing pre-shaped balloons for the baby shower. At a party supply store, they will have all sorts of different shaped animal or baby balloons that you can get to mix in with the other regular balloons.
