How to Wax a Car With an Ultimate Detailing Machine by Porter Cable Electric Buffer
Whether your car is a prized classic, brand new, or somewhere in between, chances are it looks best with a showroom shine. Standard auto detailing buffers are not only bulky and unwieldy, they also are difficult to master for the average motorist. Such machines can quickly cause a great deal of costly damage to your automobile's paint finish. Newer cars tend to resist hand buffing, unlike the cars of earlier decades. This poses a unique problem to modern drivers. One of the best solutions available today is the Ultimate Detailing Machine by Porter Cable. This compact buffer is extremely powerful, delivering over 6,000 OSM (oscillations per minute), yet is relatively lightweight and gentle to your cars lacquered surfaces. It is easily maneuvered, even on the vertical plane, and doesn't require heavy handling. This is the machine both used and recommended for this project. The article below provides instructions for waxing your car with this excellent electric buffer.

Place the electric buffer onto the surface of your vehicle. Apply no more than one pound of pressure as you move the buffing machine in a contiguous, exaggerated "S" pattern over the surface. Without lifting the buffer from the surface, rotate the machine 90 degrees and continue the "S" movement perpendicular to the first pattern. Move the machine at a slow and steady pace over the entire surface of your car until the painted surface achieves a highly glossed finish.
