It is still flu season and with a new flu strain such as the Swine Flu epidemic makes many of us feel uneasy. There are many different methods of preventing the flu.

  • Cleaner such as bleach and water
  • Herbs such as Garlic and Onions
  1. Step 1

    In order to avoid the flu, start off by thoroughly washing your hands. Hand washing is very important since viruses and bacterial infections can be spread by contact with items that have been touched or held containing the virus or bacteria.

    Try natural herbs and eat garlic and onions which help to avoid the flu

    Try adding herbs to your diet. Eat Garlic and onions to avoid the flu. There was an experiment done in a laboratory where a bacteria was treated by one of the hospitals antibiotics. It took eight hours to kill the bacteria. Garlic was added to the same type of bacteria and it only took two hours to kill the same bacteria! Garlic is a natural antibiotic containing allicin. When chopped it releases the antibiotic allicin. Make sure to eat it fresh since it is no help if cooked.

    Stay away from crowds and people who are sick. If a family member is infected, wear a mask and gloves making sure to wash all bedding and wipe down anything contaminated with bleach and water. Sleep in a separate room until the infection has passed.

  • If you start feeling any symptoms of the flu such as a fever of 101, body chills,vomiting,etc.. contact your doctor for an appointment
  • Do not leave the flu untreated!! This can be deadly!!!
